Eco-Listing Criteria
Greener Steps selects environmentally friendly businesses and organizations for its website based on the following criteria:
Member Profile
Applicants are asked to specify their eco-friendly practices on their member profile for all other members to view and adopt these eco-friendly practices themselves.
Client Feedback and Referral
Greener Steps welcomes feedback and referral from visitors, customers, and members to the site.
Research
Research is conducted on the internet, in libraries, and in the local press to identify environmentally friendly businesses and organizations.
Store Visits
Greener Steps may personally visit a potential member to determine if the business or organization sells environmentally friendly goods and services and has adopted sustainable business practices.
